What Is The Service Life Of Rubber-plastic Piping?

The service life of rubber-plastic piping depends on factors such as material type, application environment, and installation and maintenance practices; lifespans vary significantly across different categories:

Standard rubber-plastic insulation piping: When used for indoor air-conditioning lines in dry, ambient-temperature environments, compliant products typically have a service life of 10–20 years, with some high-end, premium products lasting over 25 years.

Specialized rubber-plastic piping: Standard rubber-plastic hoses used for gas applications have a lifespan of only about 2 years; they do not meet current gas safety standards and require periodic replacement. Aluminum foil-faced rubber-plastic piping can last 15–20 years under normal operating conditions.

Lifespan under extreme conditions: Prolonged exposure to high temperatures and humidity, intense direct UV radiation, or frequent temperature fluctuations can reduce the service life to less than 10 years-or even shorter.
